Halloween is always a great day for horror fans, it always will be. Halloween 2010 was especially memorable for me as my son was born. It also marked the debut of AMC’s The Walking Dead series, a debut that I watched on a pokey little screen in a hospital recovery room. Alas, Season One seemed to be over all too soon. It promised much and for the most part I felt it delivered, but what it really achieved was to set up the potential for further seasons. The graphic novel on which it is based is now up to issue 86, with 87 on its way, so there is plenty of material there for the makers of the TV show should they choose to follow the story.
With that in mind there is now a short teaser for Season 2, which I have posted below, and things look to get good and gruesome. The clip shows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) making short work of a couple of zombies, and it doesn’t hold back. Now I am sure Halloween won’t be quite as memorable for me this year, although it is definitely another to look forward to. Season 2 is set to debut October 21st on AMC.
