The other day, we were treated with the new theatrical poster for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno, and now today, a new official trailer has been released. Everything I’ve seen in the past has been in the form of a teaser, but this actually gives away some elements of the plot. Apparently a group of environmental activists go down in a plane crash in Peru, and awaken to a tribe of cannibals surrounding them. I have always been excited for this film, but I think this trailer might have made it even more so. I don’t think Eli Roth has made a bad film, personally. I love Cabin Fever, Hostel, and Hostel Part II. I think he was silly in throwing a little temper tantrum back when Hostel Part II didn’t have the box office opening he had hoped for, but I’m glad he has used his time away from the director’s chair being productive, and assembling a group of people he can work with on both his films, and others, such as Aftershock that was released last year. Check out the trailer below, and keep September 5th marked on your calendars.
