After the water supply is contaminated with a new male enhancement drug, men are rendered into mindless misogynists wanting only to cum and crush the skulls of women by any means necessary in the 2010 rebirth of the splatter sub-genre “The Taint” written by Drew Bolduc and directed by Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson.
Holy shit, that’s honestly all I can say right now after finishing “The Taint”, if you enjoy Tromaville style films with over the top gore and sleazy depraved humor then this is the perfect film for you. “The Taint” really brings you back to classic era Tromaville, with insanely weird characters, never ending laughs, and enough buckets of blood to fill a lake this flick pulls no punches when it comes to shock and awe tactics.
When I say this movie is absolutely repulsive and nauseating I mean it a purely positive way, “The Taint” has so many back to back gross out moments you start to ask yourself “Is there something wrong with me?” as you laugh until you cry at some truly disturbing imagery. Blood, guts, and huge cocks galore “The Taint” is a never ending onslaught of filthy entertainment that is sure to please the most degenerate gore hounds out there.
The character Phil O’Ginny (Drew Bolduc) comes off almost like a weird punk rock version of napoleon dynamite and constantly delivers these hilarious lines in his monotone voice that keep you laughing from the opening all the way to the closing credits. Cody Crenshaw’s character known as “Houdini” Phil O’Ginny’s one time psychical education teacher now turned leader of a band of misfits who take their gang rape very seriously is so over the top insane you can’t turn away whenever he is on screen. When it comes to unique characters who you will not soon forget even those who play small parts “The Taint” is over ran with them, a perfect example of indie splatter fun.
If you are not easy offended, and are in the possession of a sense of humor that can only be summed up with words such as filthy, grimy, sleazy, and wrong then I highly recommend you get yourself a copy of “The Taint” and show your support to a great indie flick that deserves exposure and a trophy for most severed cocks in one film in cinema history. Seriously, I lost count at how many men lost their cocks during the duration of “The Taint” or how many people were the victims of ultra-violent head smashing. If you are looking for some laughs and senseless violence and gore then look no further than “The Taint”
On behalf of The Liberal Dead and sick gore obsessed fans I give “The Taint” a well deserved 8 out of 10 and official award for most “money shots” in a non pornographic film ever on top of the highly acclaimed trophy for most severed cocks in one film.
