A police chase after a deranged ice cream truck has captivated the attention of the greater Los Angeles area. Dozens of fame-obsessed teens flock to the streets with their video cameras and camera phones, hell-bent on capturing the next viral video. But there is something far more sinister occurring in the streets of L.A. than a simple police chase. A resounding effect is created onto all those obsessed with capturing salacious footage for no other purpose than to amuse or titillate. Soon the discovery becomes that they themselves are the stars of the next video, one where they face their own death.
The ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who’ve dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of U.S. archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.
From the singular mind of writer/director and podcaster Kevin Smith, and conceived from one of Smith’s own Smodcast’s, TUSK is a story unlike anything that has ever been committed to screen before. A tale that is equal parts hilarious and horrifying, TUSK will stay with you long after the credits roll.
“Mad Max: Fury Road” is the fourth film of George Miller’s Road Warrior/Mad Max franchise co-written and directed by Miller.
The other day, we were treated with the new theatrical poster for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno, and now today, a new official trailer has been released. Everything I’ve seen in the past has been in the form of a teaser, but this actually gives away some elements of the plot. Apparently a group of […]
Since Robert Rodriguez announced that he would be launching the El Rey Network, a channel focusing on, what appears to be Latino genre fare, original programming and a steady stream of classic genre movies, I have been anticipating the flagship show, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. I have my apprehensions, mostly because I didn’t […]
Bad Milo is a new film, from Magnet, that will be screening on the last day of Fantasia, August 7th. Recently, we were sent a screener to view, and you can find Eric King’s review here. I was able to watch it as well, and I’ve gotta say that it was one of the funnest “smaller” […]
So, the Soska Sisters, whether you love them or hate them, are doing something that is needed in the horror community. Dead Hooker in a Trunk was different compared to what we normally see released and the Soska Twins have a punk rock attitude when it comes to making films. The new trailer for American […]
I am half-excited for this film. There is a tone to it that I am really digging, but parts of the trailer seem a bit trope-ish to me. I like me some Ethan Hawke (Snow Falling on Cedars is MY JAM!), so I hope he can carry the emotion necessary to maintain the storyline. I […]
A movie about people enclosed in a small space and are fighting for their lives? HOW ORIGINAL! Seriously though, even if it lacks a brand spanking new idea, I am interested in this title. Devil rubbed me the wrong way, so I am hoping that this is closer to Phonebooth; I want this film to […]
Here is the trailer for the American remake of an Uruguayan film that takes place all in one shot. I have not seen the original personally, but I have heard some excellent things. The intro to the trailer sports a lame ripoff of the narration in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre; regardless, it looks entertaining.
As most of you already know, I’m a big fan of found footage. I enjoyed the last two REC films, even if the 2nd one lost me a bit towards the end. I was excited to hear that they would be working on a prequel, and now there is actual proof! This trailer has me […]
It’s been a long time since this series has been relevant and I am only hoping that the latest entry will not disappoint. and yo, IT’S GOT BROLIN!
I can’t tell if this movie is going to be really good, or mind numbingly awful. One thing is for sure, it looks pretty interesting and it is in the hands of some very competent individuals. We shall have to wait and see!
Synopsis: It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and […]
The Last Circus, also known as Balada Triste De Trompeta, is one of my most eagerly awaited movies, and it is set to hit the big screen for a limited release on August 19th through Magnolia Pictures. To coincide with this release Magnolia have released the shiny new poster you see above, as well as […]
