Bloody Disgusting Select and The Collective have two releases coming just in time for Halloween. The first is Argentinian movie Phase 7 and you can check out Jesse Bartel’s review of it here, with the second being the rather good Mexican found footage flick Atrocious. Phase 7 will hit DVD on October 4th and Atrocious […]
Following on from his book of the same name, Troma head honcho Lloyd Kaufman now has this 2 Disc boxset of Produce Your Own Damn Movie! This would seemingly be sound advice, especially coming from the man that has been producing independent movies, such as The Toxic Avenger and Rabid Grannies, for well over 35 […]
I’ve not heard too much about The Caller, which is set for a limited release on August 26th, but from what I have seen it looks like it could be quite interesting. It’s directed by Matthew Parkhill and stars Rachelle Lefevre, Stephen Moyer and Luiz Guzman. Distribution is through Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Christina Lindberg is probably most famous for her role in the revenge classic Thriller: A Cruel Picture aka They Call Her One Eye, which I recommend you check out if you haven’t already, but she did make other movies. The last of which was Wide Open which Synapse Films are set to release on August […]
It may have been a little longer in arriving than many of us would have liked, but REC 2 is ready to hit the shelves. July 12th will see the sequel to the 2007 Zombie/Infection movie released on DVD.
The highly-anticipated prequel to the 2005 cult hit Malevolence, Bereavement, will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray August 30th. You can pre-order your copies as early as August 3rd. In 1989, six-year-old Martin Bristol (Spencer List) was kidnapped from his backyard swing in Minersville, PA. Graham Sutter (Rickaby), a psychotic recluse, kept Martin imprisoned on his derelict […]
Yup, The Soska Sisters ode to exploitation cinema, DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, is now available for your buying pleasure via Amazon UK and for 7.99 pounds as of this post!
Kim Je-Woon’s ultra-violent Korean thriller, which will also see a limited theatrical release starting March 18th, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD by Magnolia on May 10th. This will be the fully uncut US release, as the film was unfortunately cut for censorship reasons in its native South Korea.
More of you have probably read about this than have seen it, I know that I fit that description. RED, WHITE & BLUE garnered nearly unanimous critical acclaim when it played at various film festivals with the New York Times calling it “…profoundly distressing…” and FEARNET claiming that it is “…ferocious and fascinating…”. The film […]
We’re barely three months into 2011 and this is already proving to be a huge year for fans of Alejandro Jodorowsky. Not only did his long out of print, cult favorite Santa Sangre get a lavish DVD/blu-ray release from the fine people at Severin (which I covered here) but now Anchor Bay will be giving […]
Well, sort of. It got released this Tuesday through Synapse but it appears to be out of stock at most retailers/e-tailers at the moment. Perhaps the folks at Synapse underestimated the draw of Coffin Joe? I know that I’m certainly surprised that enough people would purchase it causing Amazon’s stock to become nonexistent.
2010 marked the year that horror fans were able to see their favorite zombie comic come to life on the small screen. AMC debuted their adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s epic series, “The Walking Dead”. The pilot episode was met with mostly praise, both from fans of the comic, as well as those who were unaware […]
