I’m right there with ya, Shawn. It took my a few viewings to really appreciate the remake, but the elements of the originals really are all intact (gore, nudity) and it’s a fun flick. Still haven’t forgiven the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, though. No love there.

It took several viewing for me to actually like the movie. I did like they went with the human Jason and not the zombie Jason. It’s better than the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. However, I wouldn’t call this a remake. They could have slapped a numeral onto the title and I wouldn’t have even noticed the difference.

I Love this film, after several viewings I really like the characters, they are MUCH better actors than in some of the previous sequals ‘ahem’ Part5, 7, 8, 9, The remake is much better than those films in my opinion, I never get bored watching it, I realy hope their is a sequal with Clay an Whittney. P.S. The Friday remake kicks the Nightmare remakes ass all up and down elm street and back to crystal lake.
