Every time I read the title of this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, “This Sorrowful Life”, I think of This American Life. You know… the radio program that details stories about popular and often controversial topics of relevance to the NPR listeners? I have tried with some consistency to separate this week’s Walking Dead episode title from the hip, socially conscious radio program. I have failed. With that in mind I keep trying to find metaphor and deeper meaning in the title of said episode as relates to the aforementioned radio program. I should really be taking meds.
All that aside this week’s Dead Already podcast is a look back. A look forward. It’s a look at people right now and their hopes and dreams for the apocalypse (pending or not so pending on television or out in the really real world). Listen to Shawn, Jeff and Jimmy dig discuss Merle’s motivations, Rick’s revelation, the Governor’s eating habits and the not-so marriage of Figueroa. There’s a lot going on. There’s a lot about to happen. If you don’t make sense of this now, by next week, it’ll be too damn late. This is the second to last episode of Dead Already and The Walking Dead until October rolls around. You can’t afford to miss this!
