This week on the show, James is mysteriously missing, but Jeff and Shawn dig into politics and Director Neill Blomkamp’s sophomore feature, Elysium! Included is a full review of the film and an in-depth discussion of the current controversy surrounding it and its box office and critical reception. Is it as good as DISTRICT 9? Why are the politicians super pissed off about it? Why does Matt Damon always look like Matt Damon? More importantly, how difficult is it to pronounce Sharlto Copley’s name, and how sweet is his beard? All of these burning questions will be answered… Oh, and don’t worry if you haven’t watched it yet. Tonight’s show is a spoiler-free affair, with the revealing stuff left for last.
… Transmission from Dr. Terror – This podcast write up was provided by Jeff Konopka himself who has posed the question what happened to James? First of all thank you for your concern Mr. Konopka. Second, stop checking up on me mom! There’s nothing mysterious about me missing form the podcast this week. Truth be known I’m a broke bitch who couldn’t afford a ticket to the movie theater this week. What’s more? I don’t even know what Elysium is about. Well, I didn’t until I listened to Jeff and Shawn discuss it. What I personally would like you to know about this podcast is that it will help you make a decision about whether or not you need to spend your time with your hand in a bucket of popcorn pretending not to masturbate while watching Jodie Foster and Matt Damon. You’ll have to listen to find out. Until then, don’t order extra butter unless you plan on brining a napkin to the auditorium. TERROR OUT… (please listen to the program below. thank you.)
