Texas Chainsaw 3D is one of THOSE movies. You either love it or you hate it… or you’re Jeff Konopka. It’s not a remake, so don’t let the haters fool you. The 3D for all intents and purposes blows (unless your Jimmy Terror and then you’re simply WRONG). It’s got a bit of a timeline crisis (which can be explained away or used to justify endless trolling). It’s got plot twists that are sure to piss off at least half of you and dialogue that grates the black board, but it’s also a little bit of the 1980’s captured in a movie made in 2012. It’s not the worst Texas Chainsaw installment, but most likely you won’t think it’s the best either. You may hate Leatherface’s mask. You may think that Alexandra Daddario was wearing too many clothes. You may even think we’re completely dorkuses for talking about it for nearly two hours, but there’s one thing that’s absolutely on point, we’re Dead Air and this is how we undivide the aisle. Texas Chainsaw 3D was number one in it’s opening week which guarantees a sequel. Do you think it deserves one? Do we think it deserves one? Listen and find out.
I assure you that this podcast is not to be missed. It’s funny, and when it’s not funny it’s balls out twisted, ridiculous. Jesse Bartel, Jeff Konopka and I talk until the wee hours of the morning discussing the franchise, Texas Chainsaw 3D’s place within TCM canon and even get to discuss a few non-TCM movies we’ve been watching lately.
We’ll try not to spoil too much until the end and then we’ll give you fair warning.

Note: I realize I was wrong about the introduction to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre potentially referencing a date. I’m on the side who wants to put Texas Chainsaw 3D in its own universe anyway.
