It seems like just yesterday, the horror community as a whole were waiting with baited breath to catch their first glimpse at AMC’s live action recreation of what has since become one of the most popular comic books on the face of the planet. Halloween 2010 would unleash The Walking Dead upon us all. A chronicle of the zombie apocalypse, spread out over a series of episodes, rather than in and out in ninety minutes.
It came, it went, and the results were good. Anchor Bay released the series on DVD and Blu Ray, what seemed like pretty quickly after the show completed it’s first season. Now, it seems they’re re-releasing season one, in a special edition Blu Ray and DVD set. They’re even going as far as to release special collector’s tin, in Blu Ray only of course. Below you will find the details of said release, including the all new special features, and other such details. The sets will street on the 4th of October, just in time for the series’ return for a second season.
